New York: The U.S. has released a video of a young man who was brutally beaten to death by police. Edward Bronstein, 38, died in police custody. The incident came to the notice of the outside world when the court directed to publish the video of the incident which took place in March 2020.

You can hear Bronstein saying ‘I’m breathing’ 12 times in a 16-minute video. The incident comes two months before the George Floyd assassination case, which has turned into a national uprising against racism. The family has filed a lawsuit against nine police officers in the Los Angeles County District Attorney over Bronstein’s death. Bronstein was stopped by California Highway Police on charges of reckless driving.

He was taken into custody and taken to the station where he tried to take a blood sample by force. Police reportedly attacked Bronstein when he resisted. He was allegedly knocked to the ground and trampled. The video also shows the doctor trying to save Bronstein, who is in critical condition.
