In that sense, the outlook is very little encouraging for the inhabitants of Imías, while the Castro authorities tour several areas of the east of the island with their usual insistence that resources are scarce, due to the “blockade”, to repair the damage. materials caused by Oscar.

A Facebook post shows how the houses in Yacabo Abajo were buried, while the damage caused to Cabañas Playa in Imías was also shown.

Without a doubt, the passage of Hurricane Oscar through eastern Cuba left severe consequences and it is ordinary Cubans who suffer the most in this situation due to the lack of support from the Castro dictatorship.

In other locations in the same city of Guantánamo, flooding was observed that also caused damage to homes due to the intense rains caused by Hurricane Oscar.

It is worth mentioning that, currently, the situation is critical in municipalities such as Imías and San Antonio del Sur, where the balance of victims and damages continues to be uncertain due to the negligence of the Castro regime, according to complaints from residents and witnesses.

This is because the inefficiency of the local communist authorities and the lack of preparation of the Armed Forces in Guantanamo, keep hundreds of people in a state of uncertainty and isolation, after Oscar’s passage through that province.

In the last hours, the Castro authorities decreed a “Recovery Phase” for Maisí, Baracoa, Imías and San Antonio del Sur.

“Taking into account that the current meteorological conditions in the province of Guantánamo, after the passage of Tropical Storm Oscar, do not constitute a danger, it was decided to establish, starting at 8:00 p.m. today, the recovery phase for the municipalities of Maisí, Baracoa, Imías and San Antonio del Sur”, they indicated in an official note.
