Will all cars soon be equipped with black boxes? The answer is no, and only new vehicles will be affected in two stages: from July 6, 2022 for new homologations of cars and vans (new models launched for the first time), and from July 6, 2024 for new registrations. This device voted in 2019 in the European Parliament has however perplexed automotive professionals, manufacturers and industrialists in the sector for a few days.
