IMF raises global growth forecast by 3.1% for this year

/ The International Monetary Fund raised its expectations for global growth during the current year on Tuesday, and is re-evaluating the observations of several countries in this regard.

The Fund indicated in its updated data from the annual report on the world economy, the “resilience” of major advanced and emerging economies around the world, according to Agence France-Presse.

The fund confirmed that it expects growth of 3.1% this year, compared to an increase of 2.9% expected in a previous report published in October 2023, with a notable reassessment of the United States, China, India, Russia and Mexico.

The International Monetary Fund also announced that it had lowered its inflation forecast for 2024 in the richest countries due to the success of the policy of raising interest rates, but raised its forecast for other economies.
