This invitation, in which common sense and morality are trampled, has taken its place among the most vile attacks on journalism. We are members of the Mediterranean Branch of the Contemporary Journalists Association; We know that this immorality ‘does not arise from individual ignorance’. This is immoral; It is the product of a systematic approach to journalists, the journalism profession. An approach that focuses on covering up the facts and thinks it can buy journalists; created similar erosions at all levels of social life. But we will always oppose it! We condemn the immorality on display with disgust. We announce to the Turkish public that we will never forget this reckless invitation and that, as honorable journalists, we will continue to fight the darkness we always stand against.”

The Antalya Journalists’ Association (AGC) also condemned the party administration with a statement it made after the BBP’s invitation letter was sent to the members of the press. It is vital for political parties to pay attention to ethical values in their relations with the press, in order to create a healthy public opinion. Many political parties, large and small, trying to find a place in the press among the busy agenda of politics, can use unimaginable methods. Similar to what a non-governmental organization did in the past years, the Great Union Party (BBP) Kepez District Organization has signed a scandal today.
