Immunization Clinic for Middle and High School Students in Pitt County, NC: Schedule Your Appointment Today

by time news

PITT COUNTY, N.C. – In preparation for the upcoming school year, the Pitt County Health Department is teaming up with ECU Health’s nurse program to offer an immunization clinic for middle and high school students.

According to the health department, appointments will be required for the clinic, which will be held on August 17, August 24, and September 14. However, it is important to note that the clinic will not provide kindergarten immunizations. Parents can schedule an appointment for their kindergarten students separately by calling the health department.

The immunization requirements for kindergarten entry, 7th grade, and 12th grade students can be found on the department’s website. It is crucial for parents to ensure that their children receive the recommended vaccines according to the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Failure to do so could result in expulsion for the entire school year, regardless of whether the child is attending in-person or online classes.

For more information or to schedule an appointment for your child, please contact the Pitt County Public Health Department at (252) 902-2449.
