The Better India played an important role in making the agro tourism of two friends in a small village of Rajasthan successful. On one hand, the number of guests coming here has doubled, on the other hand, 10 thousand farmers from across the country joined them for training.

In the year 2017, Indraraj Jath and Seema Saini, living in Jaipur, Rajasthan, had completed their studies in agriculture, when their family members wanted them to do some job. But during his studies, he had made up his mind that instead of doing a job, he would do some work related to farming. Seema has studied MSc Agriculture and Indraraj has studied BSc Agriculture. Today, both of them started an Agritourism project named ‘Green World Foundation’ by renting about one and a half hectare land in Khora Shyamdas village of Rajasthan.
Here, along with farming in a sustainable manner, they also do poultry farming, goat farming, cow farming and camel farming. But for all this they do not need to take anything from outside. From fodder for animals to manure for the fields, they prepare everything here themselves and the products made in the fields are bought by the guests coming here.

The Better India had published an article about this wonderful model of hers in the month of April last year. People liked the initiative of these two young friends to make farming a successful business. After reading our article, many farmers from across the country contacted Seema and Indraraj.

Not only this, whereas earlier only 10 families a month used to come to stay at his farm, today the number of guests has doubled. He gives credit for his success to that article in The Better India. After reading this, many young farmers are getting inspired to create similar agro tourism.

Recently, he has helped a farmer from Pali district of Rajasthan to set up a wonderful farm and tourism center under the integrated farming system. Today, apart from earning good profits from this work while living in the village, he has also become an inspiration for many.
It will be our endeavor in the future also to keep bringing to you the changes taking place in farming and the new efforts of the youth through our stories. To connect with Seema and Indraraj, you can contact them here.
