Newly-appointed Minister of Education Sushil Prema Jayantha has said that the current technology and science based education system will be changed.
Accordingly, steps will be taken to change the school education system soon, he said.
Meanwhile, the issuance of admission letters to national schools has been temporarily suspended.
According to the Ministry of Education, the instructions were given by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha during a discussion with officials after taking charge yesterday.
