Amendments have been made to the “Procedure for the appointment, accrual, recalculation, transfer from one type to another and payment of labor pensions”, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution of April 28, 2022 No. 175.
As reported by Day.Az, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decree in this regard.
According to the resolution, the following changes were made to the Procedure:
– In paragraph 5.10, the words “from the age of 20” are replaced by the words “from the age of 25 (from the age of 20 in relation to those who have been assigned a labor pension on the basis of the provisions of the law in force before January 1, 2024)”;
– paragraph 5.11 is added with the following content:
“5.11. For military personnel who have not completed 25 calendar years of military service at the time of discharge from military service, an old-age labor pension on preferential terms is assigned from the date of discharge from military service on the basis of the provisions of the law in force until January 1, 2024:
5.11.1. those who served in the army for 20 calendar years or more before January 1, 2024;
5.11.2. those who served in the army for at least 17 calendar years before January 1, 2024 and served 20 calendar years before being discharged from military service.”
This regulation comes into force on January 1, 2024.
