(Web Desk) It is mandatory for Pakistani citizens to obtain a passport before traveling abroad for tourism, employment, immigration or other purposes.
The Directorate of Immigration and Passports issues passports to citizens for which the citizens have to pay required documents and fees.
Citizens holding a valid Pakistani passport are entitled to the protection of Pakistan’s diplomatic and consular representatives in that country when they are abroad.
Citizens in Pakistan can go to the nearest office to obtain a passport, the passport department offers three categories for issuance: normal, urgent and fast track.
According to the Directorate of Immigration, the fee for a 36-page normal passport for 5 years is Rs 4500, while the urgent processing fee will be Rs 7500, while for a 10-year passport with 36 pages, the fee will be Rs 6700 and the fee for urgent processing will be Rs 7500. 11200 is fixed, normal fee will be Rs.8200 for 72 pages and 5 years tenure and urgent fee will be Rs. 13500 will have to be paid for this.
Also, the new fee for a passport with a validity of 10 years and 100 pages has been fixed at Rs 12,400 for normal and Rs 20,200 for urgent.
