The Central Bank has issued an important notification regarding the provision of concessions to borrowers in banks in Sri Lanka.
According to this, the central bank has given instructions to the banks to implement a work plan for the borrowers to repay the loan twice in 6 months.
It is reported that the decision has been taken for customers who cannot pay their bank loans amid the economic crisis.

Accordingly, Central Bank Governor Nanthalal Weerasinghe said that the Central Bank has issued instructions to other banks regarding giving a six-month grace period for loan repayment, extending the period given to pay off bank loans through a formal action plan, and conducting concessional evaluations in the credit information department when those in the list of non-performing loan payers get new loans. .
He said this during a special press conference held yesterday at the Central Bank headquarters in Colombo.
