Imran Khan’s interim bail denied in 3 cases including Jinnah House attack case

(Jamaluddin Jamali) The anti-terrorism court dismissed the interim bail filed against former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in Jinnah House attack case, Shadman police station fire case, and Askari Tower attack case.

In the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on May 9, three different cases were heard against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Jinnah House attack case, the Shadman police station arson case, and the Askari Tower. Regarding the attack case, Judge Khalid Arshad heard the cases in the Anti-Terrorism Court, the accused could not appear on the video link from Adiala Jail. While giving arguments, Prosecutor Rana Azhar and Special Prosecutor Rana Abdul Jabbar pleaded for the release of bail. Those who assisted were also punished.

Speaking on behalf of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder chairman Imran Khan, Barrister Salman Safdar said that the PTI founder was in jail on May 9 and was unaware of the siege and when he was released, he blamed the incidents. The charge of conspiracy and aiding and abetting is not proved, these cases are political in nature and in other similar cases interim bail has been confirmed.

Judge Khalid Arshad of the Anti-Terrorism Court, while giving a verdict, rejected the interim bails of Imran Khan in all three cases, the Anti-Terrorism Court gave a safe verdict on the interim bails of the founder PTI.

It should be remembered that before his arrest, Imran Khan had filed an application for interim bail in Jinnah House attack case, Askari Tower attack case and Shadman Nazar Atash case.
