The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) is not only characterized by providing medical care but also has four Vacation Centers ready to receive all kinds of visitors. The owner of the Division of Vacation Centers and Congress Unit of the IMSSRosario Pereira Ek, highlighted that the facilities reopened their doors after the COVID-19 pandemic to receive adults, youth, girls and boys, the elderly and anyone “who wants to come and enjoy their days off in these spaces , which are already a tourist tradition in the center of the country”.

Pereira Ek explained that in spas and camps of any of the centers a 50 percent discount is applicable for people with INAPAM credentials. And finally, 50 percent for workers, retirees and pensioners of the IMSS.

He added that in lodging of the four Vacation Centers older adults have a 10 percent discount with the presentation of their INAPAM and INE credentials; 10 percent for IMSS beneficiaries; and 15 percent for workers, retirees and IMSS pensioners upon presenting the worker’s last pay stub.
Characteristics of each of the IMSS Vacation Centers
He explained that the IMSS Oaxtepec Vacation Center, which in 1968 hosted athletes from the Olympic Games, has 368 rooms distributed in 5 standard and executive category hotels, with capacity for two, three, four and six people; 131 cabins for five occupants and 13 houses for seven people.
It also has camp service, 11 swimming pools, wading pools, sports facilities, an auditorium and 10 work rooms of different capacities, just 59 kilometers from Mexico City.
Atlixco-Metepec, located six kilometers from the Magic Town that gives it its name, offers 197 rooms distributed in 13 villas and 5 standard and executive category hotels. The rooms can accommodate two to four people, and the villas five, six and seven visitors. It has two indoor heated pools and two outdoor pools with slides and children’s games; In addition, a camping area, auditorium, expo room and 23 work rooms.
He La Trinidad Vacation Center, he said, it has 112 youth, standard and executive category rooms, with capacities ranging from two to four people. Its facilities offer a covered and heated pool with a wading pool, two outdoor pools with a wading pool, palapas with a grill and children’s games; camping area, sports facilities, an auditorium and seven work rooms.
In the case of Malintzi, expressed that the offer is 67 rooms distributed in 46 English-type cabins, with a capacity for four, six and nine people.
