The 22nd Commonwealth Games concluded last month in Birmingham, England. India finished 4th in the medal list after winning 61 medals total 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze in this Commonwealth Games.
Tamil Nadu table tennis player Sarath Kamal set a record by winning 4 medals including 3 gold in this Commonwealth Games. Sarath Kamal, who is 40 years old, is still playing to challenge the young players.
Sarath Kamal has spoken about the Olympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024. Regarding this, Sarath Kamal said, “I can set my goals right. It helps me to work in the right direction. The Indian men’s table tennis team has a good chance of winning a medal in the 2024 Olympics. First we will try to qualify.”
We missed out on qualifying as a team for the Olympics last time, but I think we have good momentum now. I hope if we continue with this momentum we will qualify for the Olympics and win medals. ” said.
