In 2024, Toulouse will have its paracetamol production plant

After the health crisis that highlighted France’s dependence on foreign drug production, the reindustrialization of paracetamol production in France is accelerating. After the announcement in April of the company Seqens relating to the construction of a factory in Roussillon, in Isère, another manufacturing site producing this essential ingredient of painkillers and anti-fever will be born in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) . The project led by the company Ipsophene, based in Saint-Orens-de-Gameville, south of Toulouse, since 2021, aims to produce 3,000 tonnes of paracetamol per year. Thirty jobs should be created.
