KUALA LUMPUR: Parties supporting Prime Minister Anwar’s unity government in Malaysia will sign an agreement today to support his government. This was stated by Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Fadilla Yusuf.
This will take place ahead of Mr Anwar’s confidence motion on his government on Monday, the Perita Hariyan newspaper said.
“I have consulted with all political party leaders regarding this. Also, I am going to meet with the Kapungan Sarawak party to find out the full details of the agreement,” explained Mr Fadilla.
In this case, the Chief Whip of Kapungan Sarawak Party said that all party leaders who have supported Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will participate in the meeting to be held today.
Earlier, Warisan party leader Mohammad Shafi Abdal said all parties supporting the unity government are expected to sign the agreement today in an effort to strengthen Mr Anwar’s unity government.
Mr Shafi made it clear that he would attend the event as per the Warisan party’s decision to support Anwar.
“A meeting has been arranged for Pakatan Harapan and other parties to sign the agreement today on Friday. I will attend that meeting.

“The key is to get the right things on the right track,” he said.
