It’s time for the decisive duel back for the round of 16 of the 2023 Copa do Brasil! This Thursday (01/06), Tricolor will receive Sport for the return match in search of a place in the quarterfinals.
After winning the first leg 2-0, in Recife, with goals from Luciano and Marcos Paulo, the São Paulo team earned the right to play for a draw or lose by up to a goal difference. In case of triumph for the visitors by two goals apart, the decision will be on penalties.
To reach the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil, Tricolor overcame Ituano in the third phase, with a 0-0 draw at Morumbi and a 1-0 victory at Novelli Júnior.
After facing the team from Pernambuco, São Paulo will visit Grêmio next Sunday (4th), at 4 pm, in Porto Alegre, for the ninth round of the Brazilian Championship.
