Somato recently launched a program called ‘Somato Instant’. Accordingly food was said to be delivered within 10 minutes. However, the project has not been implemented in Chennai till now.
An emergency meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Additional Commissioner of Transport, Chennai. The meeting was attended by delivery staff from various companies. They were advised not to get involved in accidents and traffic offenses.
Under the close surveillance of the Traffic Police, 978 cases of traffic offenses have been registered against delivery staff working in food establishments like Zwicky, Somato and Danso in Chennai for one day only today. A fine of 1 lakh 35 thousand 400 rupees has also been levied.
A total of 978 cases were reported, with a maximum of 450 delivery staff from Zwicky, 278 from Somato, 188 from Danzo, and 62 from Flipkart and Amazon.
