“Last night, the Defense Forces ‌of Ukraine conducted an attack on the airfield⁢ (…). During the operation, warehouses equipped with guided⁣ aerial bombs and several other objects in‍ the ‍airport vicinity were struck,” the statement read.

The ‌report stated that “multiple ignition sources were identified, leading​ to​ a significant fire and several detonations.”

Su-34, Su-35, and ‌MiG-31 aircraft are known to be based at the airfield. ⁤The outcome of the ‌strike is currently under investigation, according to a Telegram statement released on Friday.

Additionally,‌ Ukrainian forces conducted ‍strikes against Russian anti-aircraft missile divisions in the occupied territory ⁤of the ​Donetsk ​region.

“Among‌ other targets, ‌combat operations ‌were conducted against three ​enemy‍ radars – two S-350 complexes and one S-300. A direct hit on one S-350 radar and its destruction were confirmed,” ‌the General Staff ​reported.

Information regarding the remaining two targets is currently being gathered. Following the strikes, all three ​enemy​ radars became ⁣inoperable.

An ⁢informed source informed the news ‌agency “Interfax-Ukraine” that the Ukrainian ‍Security‌ Service, in collaboration‍ with⁤ the ‌Armed Forces and Special Operations Forces, conducted an operation against ⁤the Russian ⁣military⁤ airfield “Lipetka-2”.

The source reported that the airfield housed numerous fighter jets,​ helicopters, and warehouses containing over⁢ 700 guided air bombs.

The source claimed that after ‍the Ukrainian drone strike, a powerful explosion occurred, triggering ⁢a chain reaction and‍ a large-scale fire ‌in a significant portion of the airfield.

Local authorities ​confirmed the detonation and‌ announced the evacuation of residents from four⁤ nearby settlements.

“The⁣ majority of aircraft stationed at the military airfield ‘Lipecka-2’ were‍ unable to take off,” the source added.
