In August 2023, bread became cheaper by 6.8 percent compared to the same period last year. Compared to the previous month, the price of bread remained the same.
According to AVC, the price of meat decreased by 0.5% compared to August last year, and by 0.4% compared to the previous month.
The price of eggs increased by 15.1% compared to the previous year, and by another 0.4% compared to the previous month. Dairy products increased in price by 1.6% compared to the previous year, and by 0.1% compared to the previous month.
Compared to August 2022, the price of fruit decreased by 0.4% in August of this year, and increased by 2.4% in August compared to July.
The price of vegetables increased by 6.6% compared to the previous year, and by 14.9% compared to the previous month. According to the AMC, the price of potatoes decreased by 11.9% compared to the same period last year, and increased by 20.2% compared to the previous month.
The price of sugar decreased by 8.1% in 12 months. In August of this year, compared to the previous month, the price of sugar decreased by 4.2%.
It should be noted that, according to the AMC, the price of food decreased by 3.2% compared to the previous year, and increased by 1.5% compared to the previous month.
