Now Sheikh Hasina is in India and Bangladesh is in the lap of anarchy. The army has appealed to the people of Bangladesh to avoid any kind of violence and anarchy. The military chief has announced that an interim government will be formed in Bangladesh. However, what will be its method has not been revealed yet. Amidst all these incidents, the biggest concern for India is what will happen to the nearly 1.3 crore Hindus there?
Boost to radicalism in Bangladesh without Hasina?
Sheikh Hasina was on the target of Pakistani agency ISI because she kept fundamentalism in check in Bangladesh. Liberal ideas were patronised in Hasina’s government, due to which the country continued to climb the ladder of progress. Despite being a Muslim country, women were not only allowed to become a part of the workforce but were also encouraged. Pakistan, the self-proclaimed contractor of Islam, is very irritated by liberalism in Islam in any corner of the world. This is the reason why it is not only a stronghold of global terrorism, but it has also decided to throw the developing Bangladesh into the fire of fundamentalism.
What will happen to 1.3 crore Hindus?
This is the reason why security expert Shesh Paul Vaid has expressed serious concern about the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh in view of the latest developments. He has appealed to the Indian government through the social media platform X to talk to the army there to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. Vaid wrote that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh has resigned and left the country. The Indian government should talk to the Bangladeshi Army Chief for the safety of about 1 crore, 30 lakh Hindus in Bangladesh because Hindus are the target of rioters there.
There is a fear of trouble coming for Hindus in Bangladesh
One of the major reasons for the danger to Hindus in Bangladesh is that Narendra Modi’s government is in power in India. Be it Pakistan or Bangladesh, the fundamentalist section there considers the Modi government to be anti-Muslim and targets Hindus to vent their anger. Now that Sheikh Hasina is not in Bangladesh, there is a possibility of the control over this fundamentalist section getting loose, due to which Hindus may be in trouble. Anyway, the ISI will put all its efforts to harass Hindus in Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina has been a supporter of India. Even now when she left Dhaka, she headed towards India. In such a situation, it will become even easier for the ISI to incite Bangladeshi fundamentalists against Hindus. Overall, it cannot be denied that the lives of Hindus in Bangladesh are in danger. The plight of Hindus in Pakistan is not hidden from anyone. If it has got an opportunity to run an anti-Hindu campaign in Bangladesh, it will leave no stone unturned.
