Campania is the first in Italy to propose a book fair open to the public again. In fact, the first Book Fair will be held in Campania from 1 to 4 July, a project dedicated to the world of publishing and reading with the participation of publishers, associations and festivals that have been active for years to promote the entire supply chain of book.

Promoted and financed by the Campania Region through Scabec, the Fair is proposed as an appointment that will involve the whole territory, starting from the now accredited NapoliCittàLIbro event, now in its third edition this year.

Based at Royal Palace in Piazza del Plebiscito “NapoliCittàLibro – the book and publishing fair in Naples” has chosen as its theme “Passages”, particularly topical this year due to the emergency we are still going through. The 2021 edition will open on July 1st with the dedication to Louis sepulveda and with a special meeting in memory of the Chilean writer who should have been the testimonial of the third edition of the event and who instead died last year as a victim of Covid.

Ideal destination for circulation and exchange like the place that hosts it, synonymous with openness and freedom like the dimension onlinethat will also characterize it, the Salone will re-embrace its audience by proposing reflections on the most current themes of our contemporaneity: present both in the physical and in the digital dimension, protagonists of the cultural and scientific world will arrive at NapoliCittàLibro, well-known faces of the show and interpreters of our time as journalists, storytellers, essayists and scholars, ready to share their experiences and points of view. 80 stand they will be distributed in the courtyards of the Royal Palace with an itinerary of books that will also be enriched by theatrical performances, music and appointments with the authors.

But the Campania Book Fair is not just the fair: also in those days there will be appointments and presentations, with meetings with writers known to the general public and personalities from the publishing world also in Salerno, Caserta, Avellino and Benevento through a branded truck. that will move in the squares and in places set up for the occasion in safety. Also part of the Book Fair is “Campania that reads” the digital format dedicated to libraries and publishers from Campania, already on air since March, also realized with the collaboration of the Salerno Literature festival, the Alfonso Gatto Foundation, the Naples Award and of the Tucci store, in about ten events broadcast on social channels every Thursday – organized by Scabec.
