MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO.Norwegian Sebastian Foss-Solevaag, reigning world champion, won the special night slalom in 1.34.59 along the spectacular Canalone Miramonti that falls into the center of Madonna di Campiglio.
According to the French Alexis Pinturault in 1.34.69 and third the Swede Kristoffer Jakobsen in 1.34.69. Best blue Alex Vinatzer in 1.34.85 with a nice 4 / o place confirming an excellent form.
The race, however, was marked by the jump of the last door of the French and Clement Noel who was clearly in the lead and was about to win this race too after the slalom of Val d’Isere. It is the same mistake that the blue Vinatzer had made right in Val d’Isere while he was about to ambush the podium with the second place.
For Italy there is still – in a highly exciting race with the great cheering of the 3,000 spectators admitted along the track – the good 7th place of veteran Giuliano Razzoli. The Emilian – just turned 37 and gold in 2010 in Vancouver – is a certainty despite his age thanks to his strength and relentless commitment. In Val d d’Isere Giuliano was 9th and best Italian.
In the standings for Italy, with a good overall performance, there are Simon Maurberger 10 / o in 1.35.79 and Tommaso Sala 12 / o in 1.36.14.
The next stage of the world cup, immediately after the Christmas break, will still be in Italy, in Valtellina: in Bormio, on the grueling Stelvio slope so loved by the blue Dominik Paris who won there repeatedly, from 28 to 30 December there will be one descent and two super-G.
