From January 2015 to July 2023, Shanxi Aorui Biomaterials Co., a subsidiary of the China Institute of Radiation Protection, allegedly illegally purchased “dead and human corpses” as instruments in various Chinese provinces, including Sichuan, Guangxi, and Shandong. Pengpai Xinwen reported that the corpses were “separated,” with skin, flesh, hair, and even bones, likely to facilitate the movement of the bodies.
According to a National Audit Office report sent to Taiyuan, the total operating profit of this biomaterials company reached 380 million yuan (approximately 49 million euros) between 2015 and 2023.
