In cooperation with the Danish Council… presenting the initiatives of civil society organizations in Tajoura

Within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Local Government and the Danish Refugee Council, selected community initiatives were presented within the program to strengthen the capabilities of civil society organizations in the municipality of Tajoura.

The presentation took place in the presence of the Director of the Local Human Development Department, Adel Ajal, and a number of the department’s employees, in addition to a representative of the Office of International Cooperation and Organization Affairs.

During the event, 13 projects were highlighted, chosen from among 24 proposals submitted by 47 civil society organizations in Tajoura, as these projects aim to enhance community cooperation and achieve sustainable development in the region, with a focus on preventing risks and enhancing community stability.

The training program also seeks to train civil society organizations in Tajoura to become effective in analyzing local conflicts and developing initiatives that promote cooperation and peaceful coexistence among all groups.

Ajal praised the efforts made by the peacebuilding team and the municipal council in Tajoura, as well as the technical and logistical support provided by the Danish Council. He also stressed the importance of these initiatives in improving local conditions and meeting the needs of different groups in society.
