On the way to heavy penalties? The association’s prosecutor, attorney Nir Rashef, decided today (Tuesday) to prosecute Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Hadera, Beitar Jerusalem, Maccabi Bnei Rayna, Hapoel Beer Sheva and Shafi Suleimanov.
A Hapoel Be’er Sheva player will be prosecuted following the aggravated foul on Aden Kartsev during the Toto Cup final on a charge of hitting an opposing player under aggravated circumstances. The extremist may be punished by a suspension of at least three games. Shafi’s team will be prosecuted for inappropriate behavior of its fans.
Maccabi Tel Aviv will also be prosecuted for a similar charge, as well as Beitar Jerusalem. As for Bnei Rayna, the team will be prosecuted for racist chants by its fans, while Hapoel Hadera will be prosecuted for lighting the torch in its stands in the last league game against MS Ashdod.
