This was stated by Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets in an interview with “Belarus today”. According to him, the cost of education at Belarusian universities will increase starting from December 2023.
He noted that tuition fee growth is planned from 3 to 17 percent, depending on the specialty, and each university will independently decide on the issue of tuition fee increase.
November 25 Andrei Ivanets stated that education costs are increasing annually by 16-17%, and expressed the opinion that the increase in tuition fees will be within these limits.
In August of this year, the minister stated that there is no paid education in Belarus, and what is considered as such is a form of social support for youth and is provided by the state.
In an interview with “SB”, Ivanets promised that “today’s paying students will not work out the distribution”.
“Changes to the legislative framework will affect those who will enter our universities or colleges after the new regulations come into force. Today’s paying students will not work out the distribution,” said the minister.
