The House of Representatives held its official session today, Monday, at the House of Representatives headquarters in the city of Benghazi, headed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, in the presence of the Prime Minister-designate of the Libyan government, Osama Hammad, accompanied by his deputies, Ali Al-Qatrani and Dr. Khaled Al-Usta, and a number of ministers in the Libyan government.

The official spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Balihaq, said: “The session began with the Prime Minister giving a briefing on what the government accomplished in 2024 and what it will present during the year 2025.”

The Ministers of Interior, Justice, and Labor also provided a briefing on the work undertaken by their ministry during the year 2024, and the session witnessed a number of representatives presenting their inquiries on a number of topics.

At the end of the session, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, stressed that the Libyan government “will take the recommendations of the representatives into account during the government’s plan for the year 2025, which are as follows:
_ Taking care of autistic children and establishing and establishing centers to care for them.
– Prison maintenance and judicial police support.
– Urging the security authorities to refer those arrested and detained in pretrial detention to the judiciary within the legally specified dates.
– Paying the dues of the companies that carried out their work according to the amounts allocated in the budget in appreciation of their services and not exposing them to bankruptcy.
– Allowing the export of dates and olive oil.
– Solving electricity problems as some areas suffer from frequent outages.
– Paying attention to providing seeds and fertilizer on time and at reasonable prices.
– Controlling prices, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.
– Interest in the Arabic language, as it was noted that students were reluctant to pursue this major.
– Reconstruction and development must reach all regions whenever possible.
– Paying attention to and supporting universities, so that this will be the year of education, development, culture, and reconciliation.
– Providing justifications for including the security directorates.
– Compensation for farmers and merchants affected by Hurricane Daniel.
– Paying attention to the Tarhuna area due to the damage it sustained.
– Maintenance of the Lamlouda and Marawa stations, and thus the session was suspended.
