Renault Lardy continues its migration towards electronics. This Monday, Ampere, the electronic subsidiary of the diamond brand, presented the framework of its futuristic research laboratory completely dedicated to batteries. In the summer of 2025, around twenty people will join this building currently under construction on the Lardy site, in Essonne, where 800 workers work every day, 80% of whom now work under the Ampere banner.

Highly skilled engineers will be tasked with finding the best compromise between performance, cost, energy and safety for the batteries that will provide future models. While Lardy’s jobs are threatened with moving to Spain and Romania, this project is good news.
