In exchange for a plane ticket: we were caught at the airport with a kilogram of gold in our butt

by time news

Police arrested a man who hid a kilogram of gold in his rectum, after trying to smuggle it onto a plane in an illegal smuggling operation as part of an organized mafia plot.

According to reports, 38-year-old Muhammad Haja Muhyuddin inserted the precious “golden eggs” into his ring after agreeing to participate in the smuggling operation, since he claimed he needed the money to return to his country. According to the plan, the 38-year-old was supposed to smuggle the gold from the United Arab Emirates to Mumbai, India, in exchange for a plane ticket.

The local police investigated the case in depth and arrested 48-year-old Syed Hossein, 29-year-old Serim Hossein and 38-year-old Fuzan, on suspicion of involvement in the plot. The team of police officers took a picture with Mohadion as he knelt before them.

The customs officer from the Hyderabad airport, India, explained: “There are agents who are looking for people who went to the United Arab Emirates to find work and didn’t find any. They take advantage of the poor people who are stuck without any possibility of making a living and are desperate to return to India.” He continued: “Since they don’t have a job, they don’t have the option of buying a plane ticket to return to their country. The agents use these people as gold smugglers in various forms, and promise them a plane ticket to their country in return.”

Another police source clarified: “The gold carriers – as they are called, come from low-income families, and buying a plane ticket and meeting other expenses is a challenge for them. Both men and women readily agree to be involved in smuggling.”

Gold smuggling has become common in India recently due to the high demand for gold in the country, when it can be purchased in other countries cheaply with low tax, just before it is smuggled across the border.
