A new, exciting and sweeping version in two languages, Hebrew and Arabic, of the classics of Boaz SharabiThe song “I Wish” is coming out today (Monday), on the occasion of a new tour in which Boaz will host Valerie Hamati.

“I Wish” was composed by Sharabi to the words of Ehud Manor and first performed by Boaz Sharabi in the pre-Eurovision contest in 1986. The clip for the song, directed by Itamar Lider Shiri, documents the journey of Sharabi and Hamati throughout Israel, from the Histadrut to the cities of the periphery. The two sing “I Wish” while traveling and gather the musicians on the way to the joint performance. The special collaboration between Boaz and Valerie was formed as part of the opening of the schedule of performances of the FRIENDS club chain, the new cultural venture from the Histadrut.

The project was born in light of the Histadrut’s vision, Arnon Bar-David, to make the culture accessible to the public living in the periphery, and is expected to expand to 18 new performance clubs throughout the country, from north to south.
