In Ilopango they provide fun for people with disabilities

The city officials reiterated that the Municipal Government of Ilopango, under the leadership of Mayor José Chicas, is committed to building a city of equal opportunities for this segment of the population.

Ilopango, San Salvador. Through an initiative of the Mayor of Ilopango, José Chicas, the municipality facilitated on Monday, April 3, the access of a group of people with disabilities to the Vía Vela Water Park.

Thus, a total of 60 people with this condition were able to enjoy the holidays in a family, inclusive and safe environment, confirmed city officials.

People with disabilities also have the right to recreate and for the municipality of Ilopango it is important to provide adequate spaces for their good development, so the sector’s infrastructure has been adapted so that people can enjoy themselves safely and comfortably, they added.

The relatives of the guests expressed their gratitude to the authorities headed by Chicas, for the spaces made available, since some of the people had never visited Lake Ilopango.

“We find it wonderful that today they have adapted the structures for people with wheelchairs and that the Mayor allows people with disabilities to enjoy a safe and suitable environment for them and for us as companions,” said one of the relatives of the people benefited.
