After Mussolini, a far-right, nationalist government came to power in Italy. Exit polls suggest that right-wing leader Georgia Maloney will become the first female prime minister. Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party is expected to win between 41 and 45 percent of the vote. It is likely to win around 230 seats in the Lower House of Parliament and around 120 in the Senate.
Rival Entiko Letak is likely to get only 21 to 26 percent of the vote. Meanwhile, when the voting ended, the turnout in Italy was only 64.7 percent, compared to 74 percent last time. Polling was very low in southern regions including Sicily.
If the exit polls are correct, Maloney’s would be the largest right-wing government since World War II. For the first time since Mussolini, a far-right government came to power. In the 2018 elections, Meloni’s party managed to win only four percent of the vote.

Great to see freedom on the rise in Europe. The Left has lost their mind as well as the definition of Democracy..
