Time.news – The death toll has risen to 92 devastating earthquake that hit Japan. Local authorities reported this, adding that the number of missing people has risen to 242. Hundreds of people are still isolated.
Over a dozen communities were left isolated by landslides and blocked roads in central Japan, the hardest hit by the 7.5 magnitude quake. In cities such as Wajima, Noto or Suzu, all close to the epicenter of the earthquake, the searches for possible survivors. Municipalities are still trying to quantify the buildings and structures that collapsed.
In Suzu, “about 90% of houses were completely or partially destroyed,” according to Mayor Masuhiro Izumiya, quoted by the national Kyodo news agency.
