“It is published, the procedures are carried out, it is going to be financed, it has the resource and by July 1 the first compensation can be delivered to the first worker and from there onwards,” mentioned the president.
Yesterday the Senate began the session, which ended this morning, in which the majority bloc (Morena-PT-PVEM) approved various reforms, including the IMSS Law; from ISSSTE; of the Afores, to create the Pension Fund for Wellbeing.

To finance it, the federal government will take around 40 billion pesos from inactive accounts in the Afores of workers who are 70 years old in the case of the IMSS and 75 years old for those who contributed to the ISSSTE.
The opposition criticized the changes, since the Government will take the savings of individuals to create a public trust, which, they maintain, is unconstitutional.
In addition, they demanded that workers not be given options to use their saved money throughout their working life, since the decree stipulates that only one year’s notice will be given, but does not offer alternatives or the option of refusing to transfer their money. money.
