Dairy products even rose in price despite the cheap raw material

Data of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DXBT) show that in June the large price of greenhouse cucumbers has decreased by more than BGN. If at the end of the first reported week of June, Bulgarian cucumbers were sold at the auctions for an average of BGN 3.08/kg, then as of June 30 they were already worth BGN 1.89. The price of imported cucumbers also dropped from BGN 2.43 to BGN 1.57.

Unlike them the tomatoes they have simply taken root in the wholesale price of around BGN 3.10 per kilogram. In the first week of June, they were traded wholesale for BGN 3.12, and in the last week for BGN 3.10. The price of imported tomatoes has even increased from BGN 2.49 at the beginning of June to BGN 2.70 at the end.

During the month, the wholesale price of a liter of bottled oil finally fell below BGN 3. At the beginning of the month, sunflower oil was traded for BGN 3.37, and at the end for BGN 2.93/liter. “M” size eggs also dropped by 1 cent – from BGN 0.34 to BGN 0.33/piece.

Despite the cheapening of the raw material in June, dairy products not only did not have reduced prices, but even rose in price slightly.

At the beginning of the month, “Vitosha” yellow cheese cost BGN 17.37 in wholesale bases, and at the end it was BGN 17.48. Cheese increased from BGN 11.17 to BGN 11.23. A bucket of yogurt remained at BGN 1 BGN 17

Short-lived and long-lasting sausages have slightly increased in price within the month.
