Tomato prices have risen sharply following a series of heavy rains in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Crops have been damaged by the continuous rains. Thus, its impact on wholesale and retail prices is echoed.

Accordingly, the wholesale price of tomatoes has gone up to Rs.120 per kg. Similarly, the retail price of tomatoes has gone up from Rs 140 to Rs 160 per kg.
