In Kerch, a memorial was opened in memory of the victims of the tragedy at the Polytechnic College, where in 2018 a student staged a shooting and an explosion.
The monument was erected on the territory of the Kerch city cemetery. The ceremony was attended by the head of the city administration Svyatoslav Brusakov, Minister of Culture of Crimea Arina Novoselskaya, relatives of the victims and college students, the administration of Kerch reports.
The monument is made of bronze according to the sketch of the chairman of the board of the Union of Artists of Russia Andrei Kovalchuk. In the center of the composition is a crumpled, shot through student notebook, from which a flock of larks flies out. The names of the deceased employees and college students are engraved on the pedestal. The total height of the monument is approximately 6.5 m.
