Top start for four months of consultation organized by Sytral Mobilités on the route of the west Lyon express tramway (Teol). Express, because it is underground on approximately half of its route linking the Jean Macé district in the seventh arrondissement of Lyon to Tassin-la-Demi-Lune to the west. A transport solution in service in many cities such as Nice or Porto in Portugal, but new for Lyon.
Chosen by Sytral Mobilités last year, this express tramway, designed to carry at least 50,000 passengers per day, has the advantage, according to the public transport organizing authority, of guaranteeing reliability and travel times almost similar to those of a metro for a construction cost halved.
