World premiere of the musical «Bailo Bailo» dedicated to the myth Raffaella CarrÃ, which debuted in Madrid with a red carpet crowded with Spanish VIPs and which also saw the Italian ambassador to Spain, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, in the front row, as well as her partner of CarrÃ’s life and work, Sergio Iapino. The show, strongly desired by the Italian producer Valeria Arzenton, is a pan-European collaboration that brings together production houses such as Dreamcatcher SL and the Italian ZED and saw the light in the renovated Capitol which – after having been only cinemas since 1933 – returns for the first time in the performance hall.
A special and unique place in Gran Via, in the very center and heart of the Spanish capital, a production that from Madrid addresses the world, with the ambition of representing a “Latin Mamma Mia” full of joy and vitality. Freely adapted from the film Explota Explota by Nacho Alvarez, “Bailo Bailo” involved some of the major stars of international musicals, with Lydia Fairen, Natalia Millan, Thomas Naim, Dani Tatai, Pepa Lucas and Chez Gutzman. Federico Bellone directed, with choreography by Gillian Bruce, musical supervision by Giovanni Maria Lori and production by Valeria Arzenton. Artistic consultant, Sergio Iapino. During the debut, lots of open applause, a crowd of wild Raffa lovers danced and sang at the top of their lungs the most iconic songs of the legendary blonde bob in every row. At the end of the show, the curtain made of a thousand sparkling lights closed, revealing a beautiful image of the great artist. A crystalline voice fills the space, that of Raffaella CarrÃ.
