Exports to Belarus decreased by 4.2% and amounted to 12.5 million euros. The decrease was mainly influenced by the drop in the export of mechanisms, mechanical devices by EUR 0.9 million or 73.8%.
Imports from Belarus decreased by 4.1% and amounted to 17.2 million euros. The decrease in imports from Belarus was also most affected by the decrease in the import of mechanisms and mechanical devices by 0.6 million euros or 40.3%.
Exports to Ukraine decreased by 49.1% in March and amounted to 20.9 million euros. The decrease was mainly influenced by the drop in the export of mineral products by EUR 8.1 million or 91.4%.
Imports from Ukraine decreased by 14.9% and amounted to 21.9 million euros. The decrease was mainly influenced by the drop in the import of plant products by 1.4 million euros or 46%.
It has already been announced that in 2023 Latvia imported goods from Russia worth a total of 606.618 million euros, which is three times less than a year earlier, and from Belarus – worth 173.4 million euros, which is a decrease of 41.8%.
At the same time, Latvia exported goods worth 1.124 billion euros to Russia last year, which is 6.2% less than in 2022, but the value of goods exported to Belarus decreased by 7.5% – to 170.272 million euros.
Last year, Latvia exported goods worth a total of 18.943 billion euros, which is 11.2% or 2.39 billion euros less than in 2022, but imported – 23.196 billion euros, which is a drop of 12.5% or 3.3 billions of euros.
