Exports to Ukraine decreased by 49.1% in March and amounted to 20.9 million euros. The decrease was mainly influenced by the drop in the export of mineral products by EUR 8.1 million or 91.4%.

Imports from Ukraine decreased by 14.9% and amounted to 21.9 million euros. The decrease was mainly influenced by the drop in the import of plant products by 1.4 million euros or 46%.

It has already been announced that in 2023 Latvia imported goods from Russia worth a total of 606.618 million euros, which is three times less than a year earlier, and from Belarus – worth 173.4 million euros, which is a decrease of 41.8%.

At the same time, Latvia exported goods worth 1.124 billion euros to Russia last year, which is 6.2% less than in 2022, but the value of goods exported to Belarus decreased by 7.5% – to 170.272 million euros.

Last year, Latvia exported goods worth a total of 18.943 billion euros, which is 11.2% or 2.39 billion euros less than in 2022, but imported – 23.196 billion euros, which is a drop of 12.5% ​​or 3.3 billions of euros.
