From Saturday 3 to Thursday 8 December the new edition of the event this year dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. Meetings with writers, screenings and the Chandler and Scerbanenco awards

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece, Hyenas (1992) with a manifesto signed by Paolo Bacilieri, the XXXII edition of the Noir in Festival, which will take place in Milan, in various venues, from Saturday 3 to Thursday 8 December.


The characteristic of the review is that of proposing a cinematographic and a literary program in parallel. As for the cinema, this year the leitmotif which links many of the works presented to current events: historical or present conflicts, tensions, regimes in various parts of the world. The selection of the 13 films in competition opens on Saturday 3 at the Multiplex Eliseo (at 21) the new work by Alessio Cremonini, propheton the imprisonment of an Italian journalist in the ISIS military camps, but during the days they can also be seen Subtraction by Mani Haghighi, on the condition of women in Iran, and the Ukrainian thriller Your department by Alexander Zhovna, set during the conflict. Other guests at the Rizzoli Galleria bookshop: Saturday 3 (5.00 pm), Maurizio de Giovanni will talk about the return of his Commissioner Ricciardi in the new little walk (Einaudi) with Luca Crovi; Sunday 4 (6 pm), Gino Vignali will present his novel The Milanese fall in love on Saturday (Solferino); Monday 5 (at 17), the director and screenwriter Cinzia Bomoll will tell the new novel The Girl Who Wasn’t There (Ponte alle Grazie); Tuesday 6 (5 pm), Paolo Bacilieri will talk about his comic version of Private Venus by Giorgio Scerbanenco (Oblomov); and Wednesday 7 (6 pm), a well-known Spanish television journalist, Vicente Valls, will present his thriller set in the American political world, Kazan operation (Salani).

The festival will once again host the Scerbanenco Prize ceremonyin a new location, the Casa del Manzoni: Saturday 3, at 6.30 pm, in an evening with Maurizio de Giovanni, the winner will be proclaimed among the five finalists: Francesco Abate with The conspiracy of the Calafati (Einaudi); Gian Andrea Cerone with Sleepless nights (Guanda); Andrea Fazioli with The dark streets (Guanda); David Longo with Life pays off on Saturday (Einaudi); Enrico Pandiani with Fire (Rizzoli). Also on stage was the winner of the Readers’ Prize, François Morlupi, for the novel In the black of the abyss (Salani).
