In my time it’s just competition, why give so much hype; Ganguly said openly

The India-Pakistan match is one of the biggest battles in world cricket. There is no other match that fans, stars and media alike celebrate.

You can see fierce fights and fights in India Pakistan matches. There are many people who see this competition as more than a competition.

After the 2021 World Twenty20, the Asia Cup Twenty20 will be played this month. Former Indian captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is of the opinion that the matches against Pakistan should not be hyped.

Ganguly said that this match is just like any other match and there is no need to give so much hype. He added that even in his time, India-Pakistan should not try to win a single match but that tournament is important.

“It’s Asia Cup 2022 for me, not India vs Pakistan. During my playing days, the matches between India and Pakistan were just another match for me. “I was always looking to win the tournament and not just one game,” Ganguly told India Today.

The former captain said that the Indian team is in good form and will do well in the Asia Cup.

‘India is a good team, they have done well in recent matches and hope the team will do well in Asia Cup 2022,’ added Ganguly.

The India-Pakistan match will begin on August 28.
