The death toll in a gas explosion in Noginsk near Moscow has increased, the Emergencies Ministry said. While dismantling the rubble, the body of a woman was found. This is the fourth victim.
“Only 15 injured, 4 dead, among them, presumably, a teenage girl. The fourth victim is a woman,” TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Moscow region.
The fate of three more residents of the house is still unknown.
As for the versions of what happened, so far two main ones are being considered – the human factor and a technical malfunction. According to some reports, the epicenter of the explosion occurred in an apartment where a large family lived. It is possible that for heating they could have left the gas burners on for the night.
