In order to better prepare for the start of the season, PSG will shorten its tour in Japan

by time news

Slight change of program in the pre-season of Paris Saint-Germain. While the Parisians are currently on a summer tour in Japan, where three friendly matches are scheduled, the first of which this Wednesday (12:30 p.m.), PSG’s Japanese getaway will ultimately be shorter than expected.

The scenario so far was to go to Tel Aviv, where the Champions Trophy will be played against Nantes on July 31, directly from Japan on July 28. In view of the difficult weather conditions encountered in Asia, in particular the heat and the high humidity, the French champion will finally shorten his trip to the land of the Rising Sun. To optimize preparation for the first official match of the season as much as possible, Luis Campos has decided, in agreement with Christophe Galtier, to modify the return dates for Paris.

Return to Paris in the wake of the last match in Japan

As planned ahead of the tour, the team will therefore return to Paris in the wake of the last friendly match played in Osaka, against Gamba, ideally from Monday evening 25 or Tuesday 26 at the latest. The troops by Christophe Galtier will finish their preparation at Camp des Loges the following days, where they will meet their new teammate Hugo Ekitike as well as all the players left behind, and will set off for Tel Aviv on July 29.

Paris must play the first friendly match of its Japanese tour this Wednesday, against Kawasaki Frontale (12:30 p.m. French time). He will then go to Saitama to meet the Urawa Reds this Saturday (12 p.m.) then will end his tour in Osaka against Gamba Osaka on Monday (12 p.m.). This Monday, the Parisians had already given a taste of the show that awaited the club’s many Japanese fans with a contested training session in front of more than 13,000 won over fans.
