On Wednesday, the “Mentai PNVŽ” social network Facebook group was flooded with photos from the accident scene on Marijonų st. The photos show that a Volvo crashed into cars parked on the side of the road. The first hit was a parked Lexus with Polish license plates.
From the forward impact, the Lexus jumped back and rear ended on the hood of the Audi car.
VPK of Panevėžys County lrytas.lt learned that the witnesses of the accident around 2 p.m. 04 min. reported on the emergency phone that one person suffered a leg injury during the incident. As a result, paramedics were sent to the scene.
It turned out that the Volvo driver needed medical attention. He was taken to the hospital for examination due to leg injuries.
“How did they do that?” one user wondered on Facebook.
Others, meanwhile, speculated that the scene on the street was like something from the German TV series “Cobra 11” about highwaymen who crash cars.
“Semir was on patrol?”, others asked, referring to one of the series’ main characters.
The incident is under investigation.
