As part of the security preparations for the municipal elections, the Tobruk Eastern Border Region Investigation Office and the Tracker Dogs Unit of the Jabal Akhdar Criminal Investigation Branch participated in simulating the voting process organized by the High National Elections Commission in the city of Tobruk.

According to what was published by the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of National Unity, “This simulation aims to train the security services on the tasks of securing the voting process, in preparation for the start of the upcoming municipal elections (first group).”

The Electoral Administration Office in Tobruk conducted a simulation of polling day and mechanisms for securing electoral centers in cooperation with the Sub-Chamber for Election Security.

According to the Commission, “The simulation aims to familiarize the security services with the tasks entrusted to them during securing the voting process, and comes within the framework of the preparations being made by the High National Elections Commission prior to the start of the voting phase in the upcoming period for the municipal councils (first group) on Thursday, October 10, 2024.”
