Doha: Heavy rain has been received in most parts of Qatar in the last two days. It rained with thunder and lightning at many places. The rain intensified by Thursday morning and decreased by Friday night. The Meteorological Department said that the temperature will drop further and the cold will intensify from Friday night.
In a statement released by the department, the cold weather will continue till Monday. Officials have informed that the night temperature will be 10-15 degree Celsius during these days. The maximum temperature during these days will be between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius. The weather department predicts that the chances of rain will decrease in the coming days.
A warning has been issued not to engage in marine activities due to the possibility of isolated showers and strong winds at sea. The Qatar Calendar House stated yesterday that the coldest days of the year, ‘Bard Al Azariq’, will be between January 24 and 31.
