Accommodating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to today’s world, making it appear that many of its teachings do not conflict with the sins of humanity, this has been the intention of groups, religious people and even artists who propagate this type of narrative, such as singer Luiza Sonza, hit by pastor Rodrigo Mocellin.

The religious leader recorded a video to refute an excerpt from Sonza’s speech, where he refers to “legal believers” as people who, apparently, would not be concerned about exercising critical judgment on certain content.

“If the artist doesn’t bother Christians, he’s not a pop artist, said Luiza Sonza”, begins the pastor, then making reservations about what she says about the “legal believer”. Mocellin asks: “Who is this legal believer?”

From there, the religious leader exemplifies, in light of the Bible, that the idea of being “cool” in the eyes of the world may not be compatible with the will of God, including Jesus Christ, who, despite demonstrating total empathy, love and mercy to with sinners, he ended up being crucified with the approval of the crowd.

Brainwash

Mocellin also criticized the use of sexuality as an appealing element in the current art world. The pastor implied that, for some celebrities, being “cool” means not having filters regarding the poverty of the content that is currently produced.

“Sex is a powerful thing, it has always been a political weapon,” he said, recalling the example of Samson, who “through sex, fell.” For Mocellin, Sonza uses “her ass” to compensate for her lack of natural talent.

“Using sex as a marketing strategy,” he says. “He is using sex as a strategy to attract attention”, according to the pastor, only being able to reach “legal” believers who, in other words, would be people subject to corrupting the Gospel for the sake of popularity. Watch:
