This week, the pavement restoration works were completed in the section of Lubānas Street from Andreja Sakharova Street to Brāļu Kaudzīšu Street and in the section of Gustavas Zemgala Street from Únijas Street to Brīvības Street.
Repair works have also been completed on the section of Dārziņu Street from Cidoniju Street to Line 1 of Dārziņu Street, on the section of Pulkveža Brieža Street from Hanzas Street to Elizabetes Street and on the section of Trijādības Street from Kuģu Street to Ranķa Dam.
In two sections of the streets, 60% to 75% of the work has been completed – on Biksēres Street and on the section of Brīvības Street from Juglas Street to the Jaunciems overpass.
On the other hand, 45% to 55% of the total amount of work has been completed in four street sections – in the section of Biķernieku Street from Lielvārdes Street to Ulbrokas Street, the bridge over Jugla – Brīvības Street, the Mīlgrāvja Bridge transport hub to Emmas Street and the Ranķas Dam section from Trijādības Street to Uzvaras Boulevard.
As reported, work on resurfacing 128 streets or their sections continues in Riga.
In terms of volume, the most ambitious pavement restoration is being carried out in two sections of Kārļis Ulmaņas gatve – from Jaunmoku street to Gramzdas street and in the lane parallel to it, and in the section from Gramzdas street to the city border. The total area to be renovated in both phases is almost 172,000 square meters, and 61% of the total amount of work has been completed in both phases. Accordingly, 29% has been completed in the section from Jaunmoku street to Gramzdas street and in the lane parallel to it, while in the section from Gramzdas street to the city border – 32%.
Changes are also expected in 90 streets with a gravel surface this season. At the moment, works have been completed on 29 streets – eleven streets in the Bergģi neighborhood, six streets in the Trīsciems neighborhood, five streets in the Dārziņi neighborhood, three streets in the Jaunciems neighborhood, three streets in the Sužu neighborhood and one street in the Purvciems neighborhood. At the moment, works continue in seven more streets of Dārziņi neighborhood and three streets of Bergģi neighborhood.
